Scottish Castles and Cathedralsβ¦
After leaving Inverness, we make our way towards Dunrobin Castle, the seat of the powerful Sutherland family and the 1st Duke of Sutherland George Leveson-Gower. Dating from the 13th century, Dunrobin is one of the oldest inhabited residences in the northern Highlands and Scotland, although much of the Castle now dates from the 19th century, built in the Scottish Baronial style. The famous Dunrobin Castle Falconry is an incredible sight to behold. With its slender turrets, whitewashed walls and view the stunning Dunrobin Castle gardens, it is truly reminiscent of something from a fairy tale. So come and discover Dunrobin Castles History and everything else this magical place has to offer!
Carn Liath Broch
En route, we stop to explore one of Scotland’s most unique and enigmatic ancient monuments – the ruins of an Iron Age round tower, Carn Liath broch.
Loch Fleet
Travelling towards our next location, we venture “off the beaten track” to take in some spectacular views at Loch Fleet, where there is a chance you may catch a glimpse of some of the wildlife that inhabit there, including seals, otters, and maybe even an osprey!
Dornoch & Dornoch Cathedral
Next is a lunch time visit to the stunningly beautiful and historic hamlet of Dornoch, where there are some wonderfully unique shops to explore, and cafes galore to suit every taste – including a high quality chocolatier! After lunch, visit the magnificent Dornoch Cathedral, founded in the 13th century, which also boasts connections with the Hollywood elite (ask your guide for the full scoop)!
Our Glenmorangie Distillery Tour includes a dram or two...

Reviews from our previous guests - Dunrobin Castle & Glenmorangie Distillery Tour
Craig was our guide for the day and what a great day it was. We were a small group of seven people and everyone hit it off which made it even better. Craig was knowledgeable and really knew his stuff. Saw some amazing sights and laughed a lot that day. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Earth-born companion
Anβ fellow-mortal!Our guide & driver Rob was the best part of our day. He recited Robbie Burns, sang songs about the Gordon clan, and entertained us with tales of the Orange people versus the Jacobites. He knows every rock band worth its salt, can play the entire guitar solo from Metallicaβs Whisky In The Jar, and told us all about salmon fishing on the Beauly. Plus he looked after each of us and made sure we each had a lovely day. We went on this tour to drink whisky but had no idea that the whisky would be overshadowed by a true gentleman and a scholar. We will never forget the sound of βTo A Mouseβ as recited by Rob, the highlight of our trip. One of Scotlandβs finest - we hope we meet him again some day.
Omgosh where do I start!! Our tour was amazing, Bill is amazing! He touches bases on everything we wanted to see! He interacted with me on the Outlander books and series, my sister got to see her Highland coos and I got to several stone circles! Take my advice and ask for Bill you will not in any way be disappointed! He surprised us at every turn. And knows Scottish history like nobodyβs business!! Thank you Bill I loves our trip with you!!
