Speyside Whisky Tour
Scotland is renowned for Whisky Galore! Why not visit some of our finest single malt distilleries, travelling in the comfort of an 8-seater vehicle?
Scotland is known all over the globe for the production of the finest single malt whisky. Each single malt boasts its unique taste and characteristics that has been influenced by the wonderful natural spring water so abundant throughout the country, and the production methods that have been guarded so well by each and every distillery to create the subtle differences and intricate flavours that differentiates one malt whisky from the next. So why not let us do the driving, and visit some of Scotland’s best known distilleries to enjoy a dram (or two) of the uisge beatha (meaning “water of life” in the Scots Gaelic), whilst learning some of the magical secrets that turns those three basic ingredients, barley, water and yeast, into the finest Scotch single malt whisky.
Speyside - The home of the single malt...
Speyside is the home of single malt whisky, and boasts the greatest concentration of distilleries in Scotland. The abundance of pure spring water coupled with the fertile lands within the region makes it rich in the natural ingredients needed to begin the magic of creating a single malt whisky.
First, visit Glen Moray Distillery in Elgin, which has been producing malt whisky since 1897 and has recently launched their Elgin Heritage range, which comprises of a 12, 15 and 18 year old single malt, to wet your whistle with a tasting. We then travel through the glorious and lush Spey Valley countryside to catch an insight into how the distillation process creates one of the “world’s most awarded single malt whiskies” on a tour at Glenfiddich Distillery, with a dram or two (or three) of the finished product afterwards.
After some lunch, we visit the world renowned Aberlour Distillery Shop before concluding at Glenfarclas Distillery to enjoy the ambiance of the distillery’s beautiful and unique “ship’s room”. So, why not sit back, relax, and partake in the finest of Scotland’s “amber nectar”, while we become the “designated driver”. Book now to avoid disappointment!
