Highlander (Loch Ness) Tour
Let us give you a flavour of the lush hills and glens in and around the world famous and mysterious Loch Ness on our Highlander (Loch Ness) Tour. Experience tasters of our unique culture, history and landscape, whilst travelling in the comfort of an 8-seater vehicle.
The mystical Loch Ness...
The highlight, of course, is the option of a cruise on Loch Ness; a place full of mystery, where you may just catch a glimpse of one of Scotland's most famous residents – Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster! Marvel over the ruins of the mighty medieval stronghold, Urquhart Castle, a testament to the power of Clan Chiefs and Scottish Kings, and enjoy the views during this fantastic boat cruise on the waters of the world famous Loch.
A taste of the Highlands...
Travel through the Black Isle and take in the views of the rolling green hills and rich arable land filled with fields of barley so indicative of the east of Scotland, before sampling of some fine single malt whisky at Glen Ord Distillery, where the locally grown barley is used to produce the uisge beatha (meaning “water of life” in the Gaelic - whisky). We'll visit Chanonry Point near Fortrose, where there is a good chance to spot some of the Bottlenose Dolphins that reside in the Moray Firth, one of the largest populations of these majestic and intelligent mammals in Europe, or simply enjoy the stunning views.
Live the history...
Visit the emotive and compelling Culloden Battlefield, and hear the chilling story of the conclusion of the Jacobite cause on the site where the last pitched battle fought on the British mainland took place. Afterwards we take you even further back in time into prehistory and explore the ancient and atmospheric monuments at Clava Cairns.
The North East Highlands of Scotland is rich in folklore, myth, legends and history, which we would love to share with you along the way, so let us help you shape your adventures, create your memories and experience our culture first hand.
